I am also a Nokia E71 owner and I am considering buying the integrated bluetooth system for my Volvo S80 2007 (it was not there when I bought it).

Could you possibly let me know which firmware version you are using for both the car bluetooth and the phone?

Sorry for late reply.

I started to use my Nokia E71 in October 2008 with the SW version delivered. I have then upgraded to the next gen. SW in December 2008 and recently to the newest one: 200.21.118 27-11-2008 RM-346. With all 3 versions my E71 worked pretty fine with Volvo S80 (model year 2008, just one year old now) BT, with exception of a couple of items (see my former discussions). I confirm that synchronisation of the Phonebook works fine, as far as call lists. Strange, but this is not confirmed by Volvo at their website, where these functions are marked as “not or partial” working”!?. Volvo Tests are from 10.10.2008, on E71 FW Version 100.07.76 (this has been also my purchased version at a time). They are extremely sluggish in testing the new devices and I can confirm that numerous customers (me inclusive) are firmly objecting such a policy but, until now, without any feedback/result. The version of the BT-SW in Volvo S80 Executive (model year 2008) is not known to me, but it is the last official one installed by Volvo during service 2 months ago. I must tell you that Volvo still takes very easy such problems and numerous complaints from us, their customers- until when? Hope this helps Regards

Further to my reply, here the newest status:

- Newest BT-SW applied yesterday, Volvo Part Number : 30775613, Software ID: 4600033860617080

- Nokia E71 SW Version 210.21.006 02-03-2009 RM-346 (has been installed already one month ago).

BT communication is fully operational now (full phone book transfer/sync., ring tone from handy used too).

When I want to drag a song from my Nokia Music onto my Nokia E70, it says: "Nokia device connected into incorrect mode. Select view to help" 

When I do the later, nothing seem to work. I try to reconnect, but it does not work.

Any suggestions ?

ps. I downloaded the newest pc suite from the website, and the website said that my phone model is compatible with the newest pc suite edition.

Help ?
