E51 bluetooth simultaneous with iPod to S9

Hi,

my Motorola S9 has two different profiles, one for stereo Headset and one for Phone headset. When I connect to my Macbook I can see both. So, theoretically, it should be possible, to connect it to both my iPod and the E51. When I have both devices paired, and then switch on the S9 it gets conencted to both, but after ~30 seconds I get a "disconnected" message on the E51.

As it seems, also from the icon in the bluetooth devices menu, which is a musical note, the E51 generally connects using both headset profiles, and then gives up against the iPod.

Is there any way to tell the E51 to *only* use the handsfree profile?
