Hi
This is my first post.
I have a Nokia C7-00 which I am very pleased with. However I do have an issue with the phones connectivity which I hope some of the legendary magicians out there can solve.
We have a 2011 'Seat Ibiza' with Bluetooth. My wife has a Nokia 2330c-2 and uses the cars facility with great success. She has the cars system recognize her phone automatically whenever she starts the ignition. It connects and operates correctly and remains connected each and every time she uses the car with no prompting (as it should do). However, when I pair my C7 it will initially work OK for one journey until I switch the engine off. On restarting the car the system will recognize the phone again, allow outgoing calls and respond to the voice commands but will not allow any audio to come through. If I delete the pairing with the car and reconnect using the standard 1234 password it will once again work correctly until the next time I switch off the ignition. I have ensured that all the software updates for the phone are current.
Is there a solution for this problem? I would be very grateful.

Hello bobcat5157
Welcome to the forum and thanks for your recent post. As you have thoroughly explained that your wife's phone work well in accordance with all the Bluetooth functions of the car. This may may suggest that the systems doesn't fully support all phones or their functions.
Although a manufacturer may include a particular device to be compatible with their unit, as one would assume until the contrary is proven. Each device or unit is designed and developed in line with different protocols which sometimes could repel the other party.
I believe it is evident to say that this not an issue with your phone but from the car entertainment system. You should contact them at the best available opportunity.
Regards
Carl

Unfortunately there are quite a number of carkit Bluetooth connectivity issues reported using Symbian Anna, where for example there were such no issues running N8 or E7 on earlier S^3 firmware.

Thanks for your observations 'aspergerguy'. As I expected, the official line is 'it must be a problem with the car'! It has to be obvious to anyone that the problem is with the phone and its software as so many people seem to have this fault in so many circumstances. It seems I'll just have to put up with it as the powers that be are not prepared to addresss the issue. Shame!

I found your post very interesting. I too have a C7 and have just bought a Seat Ibiza Estate and have encountered the same problems. After initially entering the pin code for bluetooth connectivity if I leave the car, come back and the phone automatically connects ,when I make a call I cannot hear the person at the other end of the line although they can hear me. None of these problems occur on the initial call. I have also tried it with another phone and it works fine, as well as checking Seats list of compatible phones which the C7 is one.
I do have a Nokia technician scheduled to call me on Thursday but if this problem has lingered since last year I doubt I will have much luck....

You commented on my last post.
Since then, after having problems with my C7, I had it replaced a couple of months ago by Nokia. I did, at the time, upgrade the software from Anna to Belle. The problem has now been resolved. Whether this is down to the new hardware or software I not absolutely sure, but I tend to think that it is the software.
If you haven't already done so, I suggest you upgrade to the Belle software system. I would be interested to know how you get on.

I couldn't agree more about the small things! Glad it worked for you.
Just an aside. I've been using Belle for a while now and have had no problems, in fact I prefer the format to Anna.
