I have a c3 and have been trying to upgrade the s/w using Nokia PC suite.  However, even though the USB is connected (can see texts etc on PC suite) when I try and upgrade the s/w, it runs through a searching for device stage.  When it gets to this it times out indicating that it cannot find a device and to check the USB and that I have set PC suite on my phone (which I have)

Does anyone have any idea what is causing this problem.   Thanks

Are you using PC Suite rather than OVI Suite for a particular reason?

Yes I am having exactly the same problem.

I am trying to update the firmware as the earlier firmware has various problems including bluetooth connection problems. Plug in the phone via usb, I can "see" the phone via my computer and move files back and forth so there is a connection. But when I ask Ovi to upgrade the firmware it downloads the software from the net and then tells me that  my phone isn't connected and I should connect vai a usb lead. So I disconnect the phone and plug it in again and it does exactly the same thing. Its driving me mad. Bought the phone from vodafone who just say return it and nothing else. Not very helpful. I think there are problems with this phone and the customers are debugging them.

pls type *#7370# and your set refresh  then you go to you phone setting opstion  phone and software and you get  update by Internet pls select accses point before do that
