Bluetooth between E51 and Parrot CK3100

me and several collegues of mine have the same pairing problems between Parrot CK 3100 and E51.

- sometimes the phone and carkit pair, soemtimes they don't. Switching off and on the phone often helps
- sometimes the connection drops, especially when in a call
- sometimes the carkit freezes and you can only operate the phone from the phone buttons, not from the carkit
- the phone should switch to a profile 'carkit' when connecting to the Parrot, but it doesn't

Re: Bluetooth between E51 and Parrot CK3100

I have similar problems with the E51 and Parrot, during a call it drops out, I can still hear the caller but they get terrible echo and feedback on their end. Very frustrating.
Have to turn phone off to reset it.

Are there any solutions ??

Re: Bluetooth between E51 and Parrot CK3100

Hi Duckman

I had the same problem with the E51, my solution was to throw the phone out the window, once it got out of range - the parrot worked fine with my newly bought motorola! I think Nokia phones only like their own bluetooth kits, good luck finding a solution. ps. no problems with Motorola at all!!!

Re: Bluetooth between E51 and Parrot CK3100

There are lots of different software versions for the parrot ck-3100 and some work better than others, you may need to update your software by downloading it from parrot web site, latest software version is 4.18c.

Re: Bluetooth between E51 and Parrot CK3100

hey guys, i have the same probs, but was with an earlier nokia as well (6120).  Every 30mins and aproxx 30sec of talk time the kit would disconnect.  The only way to reconnect would be to switch off the phone.  Thought it might have been the old nokia but its doing exactly the same with the new E51.  Any ideas on a fix??

Re: Bluetooth between E51 and Parrot CK3100

I agree 100% with dannyboy....keep your carkit updated with latest firmware. I've had mine for a little over a year and have done 3 updates since I got it. I'm using E51 and have no issues with latest firmware on parrot and old firmware on E51 (new E51 f/w is problematic I believe). Check regularly on Parrot wbsite for new firmwares.

Re: Bluetooth between E51 and Parrot CK3100

By the way - new version of CK3100 firmware was released this week v 4.19

Version 4.19
- Better compatibility with phones: Nokia E51, Casio Boulder, Motorola U9

Good news for E51 owners.
