My 6630 keeps asking me to "select access point" when I am not connected to the web. I have all my settings from 3 and am able to use the web fine. It's very anoying when I am trying to type a text or play a game and the phone brings up a "select access point" screen. This happens every 40-50 seconds and still does it whether I press SELECT or CANCEL. Has anyone got any clues, as I can't find anything to help in the manual or the FAQ's.

Have you installed applications? It might be that one of applications is trying to establish network connection.

I have installed some applications 3 games to be precise. I will remove them and try it and post with the outcome. Cheers.

Nope, still no joy. Thought that it had worked but up popped the access point question again. Any other suggestions?

Launch the browser and check if there is some default homepage/access point defined in the settings of it (Options > Settings).

The default access point is selected as 3.

Hi,I have read quite a few of the posts regarding the above problem. Tried most of the tips but still having the message appear.I've got a 6600. Would it be a problem with my service provider (o2) It's only a basic pay as you go package ? Worst case scenario,can I turn of the access point ?
