Hi
I have just downloaded the latest Nokia Data Suite on to my new Windows 7 PC and noting the fact that the cable drivers for the CA-42 are supposed to be part of the Data Suite, I started the install, around step 3 it requires you to connect your phone, I selected the cable option and plugged in the phone and saw the initial installing drivers message but then I get the failed to install drivers message and am getting a message on the PC
ArkMicro USB to Serial Port is not compatible with this version of Windows.
Because this device isn't compatible with this version of Windows, and there are no solutions available for this problem, we recommend that you find another device on the following website:
I thought the necessary driver was part of the Data Suite kit and I can see that a Nokia Connectivity Cable driver (V7.1.22.0) is installed but I can not get the phone to connect - anythoughts on what is happening ?
Regards

This has nothing todo with Nokia PCSuite. The driver you need is to my knowledge for your webcam. Look for software updates for your PC. Nokia PCsuite and OVI Suite are not yet fully supported on W7 (64bit). Try the Media Transfer or Mass storage mode. Did you install PCSuite in XP mode with admin rights? Be carefull with antivirus sw during installation and better not use USB hubs.

think you should check the CA-42 cable whether it's NOKIA ori or not, check at the back of the USB end.
if it's CA-42 IL40083821 made in China it's not NOKIA, you should ensure the driver, or try read the article about this in http://www.ziddu.com/download/8022374/ProblemwithC
most of the time it's just a driver issue nothing else.
good luck. hope this will help.
