wireless headset HS-26W not working

I just bought headset-wireless model HS-26W, but it does not work. I pluget it to charge it, but there was no sign that the battery was charging(indicator lamp did not flash) I cant even turn it on.
Is there some special way of first time charging the battery or headset is headset is broken and I have to replace it?

Re: wireless headset HS-26W not working

Hi,

I´m dealing with the same issue.

I won a HS-26W (pink model)as a Xmas gift, but it didn´t charge nor even lit the charging/operating indicator led. It seems it was dead.

After replacement of the unit, at the local store where it was bought, the new unit showed THE SAME PROBLEM!!!

I´ve read many questions over the internet, about this HS-26W problem, and IT SEEMS THERE IS NO PRACTICAL SOLUTION!

WHAT IS GOING ON?? Is it a Nokia loss of quality control? I found questions about this problem in many countries, like Brazil and Portugal...

Re: wireless headset HS-26W not working

first, HS-26W is an old Nokia Bluetooth headset, the batteries of these headsets have only a 3-years shelf life, sometimes less, so if this HS is about 3 years old then it is possible that the battery is already dead...

you can try one thing, press the multifunction key or call key, and press the volume up key, and then put in the charger and hope that it will be able to reset it or jump start it... try it a couple of times, if nothing happens then most likely the battery is dead...

you can try to return it and ask for a refund or a replacement...

you can use any nokia charger to any nokia bluetooth headset, as long as it fits, meaning if your headset has a 2.0 mm charging hole, then use the 2.0 mm charger, and so forth...
