Re: quick question' CK-7w car & nokia n8

Hi

It will almost certainly pair & connect but most likely there will be echo as the CK-7W is an older product.

It was discontinued in 2008 because of its lack of echo cancellation and inability to be updated with new software.

The replacement (CK-100) has both of the above and is compatible with the N8, plus it supports music over Bluetooth and has a charging cable for the phone.

Hope this helps!

no it dosent help at all. it means i will have to buy and get installed a whole new system in my car just because nokia didnt do software updates for a product which is working fine. Its crazy to think that if i want to buy the new n8 i then need to buy a whole new car kit.

I know what you mean... I think I'm about to have the same trouble with a fantastic Nokia 616 car kit not being compatible with the new N8... seems a pity that no-one appears to be that bothered about it either. Me-thinks Galaxy S will work with the car kit though, so maybe...
