Hi
I have a Nokia CK 600 car set that works fine with my Nokia E71 phone.
For music I have a Ipod Touch 2 gen. I have downloaded the new firmware to the Ipod that enables bluetooth, and I have connected the Ipod to the Nokia CK 600 via Bluetooth and there is a good connection with very fine sound quality. But after a short while, the music gets distorted, its like the connection is lagging, and the result is digital distortion that sounds terrible.
If I then stop the Ipod and start the song again then it can play well for some seconds, and then the distortion starts again...
Its like the CK 600 is overwhelmed by the bluetooth stream?
Have someone else experienced this?
Is the a new firmware to be downloaded to the CK 600 ? and if how can it be installed?
Hope someone can help
Kind regards

Hi
The Nokia CK600 has been specifically designed to handle Music capable Phones. Although it can do it (and I speak someone who is not sure on this one), I am not sure whether it has the resourses inside it to handle both connections.
I would suggest that you buy a bigger memory card for the E71 (or use the existing one for now) and see how handle playing music on that.
Hope this helps

Also i have my phone set up to connect automatically through blue tooth put i have to do it manually everytime i get into the car... Any ideas what i might be doing wrong on both topics? Thanks....

Hi
The CK-600 does not have a wired audio input so perhaps the installer fitted a separate line-in for you, which is not working?
CK-600 does have red/white "RCA" connectors on the control box but these are outputs, intended to be connected to the aux in of the car. If the installer has fitted a 3.5mm audio lead to this connector, it simply won't do anything.
The only car kit from Nokia that has a wired input is the CK-300.
If you are having to manually connect your phone each time, it sounds like the installer has incorrectly wired the permanent feed and ignition feed to the unit. This explains why the kit does not "remember" the connection setting. One way to check if this is the case is to look at the screen when you switch off the car. If you do not see the Nokia "handshake" closedown screen, then it is wired incorrectly.
Hope this helps?
