Hi, I am new user for this discussion forum. I had registered for battery replacement on Nokia website on 14th August 2007 but yet to receive the battery. I have been communicating to Nokia care through mails for past one year but they send a standard reply that they will send it at the earliest. Once I visited a Nokia care center and was told battery out of stock. I am from Chennai, India. Is there any other way to approach Nokia? I found this is the only relevant forum on this topic and hence posted here.
Regards,
Dinesh

Hi,
Thanks for the immediate reply. I have contacted Nokia care by e-mail for one year now. I have been regularly mailing to support.services@nokia.com for a year now. Always they reply that their executives are working on it and will revert at the earliest. But I have not seen any action and now almost 2 years is gone. I am copying one of the reply email I received for your reference.
Regards,
Dinesh

Hi all,
It is proven now that Nokia does not honour it's statement to the media and customers. Yesterday Nokia Care India Technical Support Executive has said that they will NOT send me a replacement battery. He is not able to state any reason for it nor he is willing to give any number for escalation. I would call this as blatant cheating as Nokia had all along said that they will send the battery for past two years. I have decided to go for a non-Nokia phone as my next phone due to this bad experience.

Dinesh

The battery costs few hundred rupees and I can buy one always. But what matters here is the public announcement given by Nokia in media that they will replace and now going back on that promise, thus cheating the public.
I am buying Samsung Jet touch phone this week, though initially I considered Nokia 5800 and Nokia 5530 expressmusic editions. But I decided to avoid Nokia phones due to this bad experience.
