How to turn off CK-100?

I've just bought a second hand car that had the Nokia car kit built in

Approx 20 seconds after I start my car the kit beeps and turns my audio system off, then I have to turn my system back on again

This is annoying and I don't even have a Nokia phone

Is there anyway of permanently turning off the device so that it doesn't automatically start every time I start the car? (other than removing it)

Hi Josh,

Without knowing the method of installation, it's hard to say why you are experiencing this behaviour from the kit.

It sounds like the motion sensor is starting the kit (this explains the 20 sec delay) but it should release the mute almost immediately.

The kit is compatible with most phones, not just Nokia though, so you could try pairing your phone with it?

Search for it in Bluetooth devices and the passcode is 0000

You can switch it off each time by doing a fast anticlockwise spin of the remote wheel, but I guess this is not the solution you are looking for!

It sound like it is wired wrong, I wuld recommend you get an engineer to look at this. The kit should bleep but not hold you stereo off.
