Helo, Nokians.. I just got my New N8 and must say for the last month It works perfectly as all my othe Nokias for the last 8 Years.

Unfortunately the N8 is not Compartible with my Bose MIE2 headphones wich I honestly find seriousely Disturbing and discouraging considering my Previous E66 worked Excellently with the Help of a Special Adapter,

I appeal to NOKIA to please find a solution to this if Possible a Jack to Unify the Headphone Imput so as to fit all types of Earphones.

I appreciate the Flexibility Nokia has offered In past ...so please NOKIA don't go a step back when your Competitors are moving foward.

I'm not familiar with Bose headphones but I have used several off the shelf earphones (designed for mp3 players etc) with the N8 without issue.

Is it just the Bose ones that fail in your N8 or do standard ones fail too?

Hi, I'm only just discovering a similar problem; after a year's use the headset that came with the phone gave up. I first bought a sony headset which didn't work but I thought that was because it was made for iPods. So I got a SoundMagic set instead "for iPhone, MP3 and music phones". When tried initially, "headset not supported" came up. After some research I did something in Accessories settings; "headset" > hold> "set as default". So now it is working but the sound is terrible, really bad echo. Any thoughts?
