What are the functions of 2 silver keys on the side & 3 play back like black keys situated next to the clip of the default N8 head phones?


Why does the earplugs fall out despite a separate set of delicate plastic ear plugs?

one is to answer and stop the call , the 3 front are for the music and the other two is for the volume.

 

mine use to fall from time to time. just fit them well

The top silver key on the side is to answer/make calls.  The ones on the bottom are volume control.  On the front, it's next track, play/pause, and back track to do all of those functions while the music player is playing.  If those keys aren't working for you, it could be because the connector isn't going all the way into the phone.  This happened ALOT to N8 users who have cases that cover the top of the phone.

 

There are different size ear plugs.  You have to find the proper size for your ears.

Are there any better quality, (by that mean weight, wires ear plugs) than WH-701 but similar in functions?

Since I started using the head set WH-701, the volume key on the side has become non responsive even after the head set is unplugged, any ideas why?

 

Could it be due to Nokia beta labs maps version 3.08?
