CK-7W will not connect via bluetooth to 6300

I have a CK-7W car kit fitted to my car, it is robarbly about 3 years old. I fused to be able to connect my 6300 to the car kit via bluetooth but lately it will not connect. I deleted to pairing on the phone and tried to set it up again but every time I try this it says pairing failed. I used the same passcode "0000" that I used when I connected to it before via bluetooth. I also tried holding in the button on the car kit for 10 seconds or so until it beep which is supposed to indicate that all the saved phones have been deleted and then tried to set up the connection again. Somebody told me it is because it has an older version of bluetooth, but I used to be able to connect no problem so that doesn't make sense either.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

Try resetting the phone *#7780# default code 12345,
then try pairing again. If this doesnt work contact the nearest Nokia care point or an accredited car kit fitter for full inspection

Re: CK-7W will not connect via bluetooth to 6300

I tried that but unfortunately I had no luck. It detects the CK-7W but when I select pair new device and put in the code "0000" if tries to pair the device put then it says pairing failed.

Re: CK-7W will not connect via bluetooth to 6300

You will have to reset the ck-7w by unplugging it from the power loom, find the main box behind the dash and unplug. it is common for these units to have a software freeze.

Re: CK-7W will not connect via bluetooth to 6300

Hi. I'm trying to follow the above advice as I have just bought a 57reg passat with this kit installed. I can find the remote, microphone and loudspeaker in the cockpit but I have absolutely no idea where to find the main unit behind the dash and dont really want to damage it by trying to pull it apart! is there a common place for installing them or is there another way I can reset the unit?

I'm trying to pair a nokia 6300 as well

Thanks for your help

I am have the same issue as the OP, where do you think I can find the black box on a 2006 Audi A3?

Thanks

Re: CK-7W will not connect via bluetooth to 6300

Hi Viv

If you are based in the UK, I would save yourself the time & risk by calling a Nokia Accredited Installer to reset the kit. They wil probably make a small service call charge but have the job done quickly and safely.

You can find your nearest one here: www.nokia.co.uk/carkitinstallers

If not in the UK, let me know where you are and I'll try to find someone for you.

HI, firstly I agree with Confiture, an engineer can be the best way to go. Otherwise I would try behind the glove box.

@Allstars

From Nokia Accredited Installer list Paul Martin of ATL Vehicle Tech Wooton Northants. would appear to be nearest to you!

If I've helped in any way, a click upon the white star at bottom right of screen would always be appreciated.
