CK-600 and HTC androids...

Can't get my ck-600 carkit to sync contacts from a new HTC Wildfire phone. The ck-600 starts syncing, and after some time it is just restarting.

Any help is appreciated.

Jonas.

Re: CK-600 and HTC androids...

Should i try to upgrade the firmware in the ck-600?

I cannot find a changelog for the firmware revisions for this device. Anyone?

Re: CK-600 and HTC androids...

Are your contacts on the SIM or handset memory?

The CK-600 will only automatically download the contacts from the handset memory.

The firmware should be ok as there have not been any updates for over a year on this product.

Hope this helps?

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, i have 60 contacts in the handset memory. They have been copied from the sim-card to the handset memory.

The CK-600 starts to download the contacts, but after a while, it reboots?

I have two CK-600's in two cars, and they both do the same. They are not new, so the firmware could be very outdated. The versions are: 2.36 and 2.39.

Anything else i could try, except from buying another phone? :-/

Best regards

Jonas

Re: CK-600 and HTC wildfire

Tried a colleagues HTC desire on one of my carkits. That worked perfectly. So it seems to be a problem only with HTC Wildfire or maybe i have just received a defective handset.

I will try to contact HTC.

Re: CK-600 and HTC wildfire

To Jonas: I have the same problem as you with Desire, so it is a funny problem... I have already updated my firmware to ver. 3.02 and it did not help..... Just FYI

This problem is a bit strange. I did also try with a desire, and that phone worked perfectly with the ck-600. I also tried to upgrade the firmware to version 3.02 in one of my carkits, but with same result.

I have asked HTC, but the answer from them is to wait for a firmware-upgrade from nokia with support for wildfire. I think i will just get another brand of handset...

Re: CK-600 and HTC wildfire

Hi,

Dont know if its too late, but I'm sure this will help someone searching for this information. I encountered the same with my HTC Desire, but the problem was immediately solved the moment I upgraded to Android 2.2 - Froyo. So I'm guessing its an issue with the 2.1 Android.

Good luck.
