CK-100 Output Advice

Hello,

I have just purchased a Nokia CK-100 kit which I would like to install in my 2008 Astra. Unfornately, the kit I purchased does not have the CA-135 ISO cable but comes with the SP-3 loudspeaker. Ideally, I'd like to have the phone call sound coming from my car speakers and not use the SP-3 speaker.

My car stereo (CD30MP3) has PH+ and PH- inputs, so I can think of 3 ways of connecting the kit to the car, but I am unsure which is correct as I do not know if the PH+ and PH- are low level or high level inputs.

Would I....

a) connect pins 6 and 18 (FL+ and FL- Radio) to the PH+ and PH- inputs?

b) connect pins 3 and 15 (FL+ and FL- Speaker) to the PH+ and PH- inputs?

c) cut the wire going to the SP-3 speaker and connect these wires to the PH+ and PH- inputs?

Also would this mean that the volume of the call would be controlled by the Nokia kit or the car stereo?

Thanks in advance...

Re: CK-100 Output Advice

Hi Kev

My advice?

Get hold of the CA-135 and adaptor for your Atra and the kit will work as it was designed.

Cutting the cable won't work, and using the direct input will not allow music streaming. Also, both volume controls would be battling with each other to control the volume.

Drop me a message and I should be able to point you in the right (low cost) direction.
