CK-100 High Pitched Noise w/iPhone 4

I have just installed a CK-100 into a vehicle. Connected to an iphone 4 via Bluetooth. Music audio is outputted through the RCA sockets into the AUX in of my stereo. Every 10 minutes or so of playing music there is high pitched noise which comes over the top of the audio. Lasts about 20 seconds and then the audio is OK again. Has anyone had this problem? Both latest firmware's.

Thanks,

Nick

Is it a high pitched whine?

Sounds like it could be RF interference from something in the car.

Ensure the cable used from RCA to aux is a good quality, well shielded type. If this doesn't help, try placing the control box in an alternative location.

Third thing to try would be to connect the earth (black) cable to it's own earth point, rather than the "piggy back" on the ISO cable.

Without knowing the vehicle and seeing the installation,  these are all guesswork though!

Re: CK-100 High Pitched Noise w/iPhone 4

I have the same setup and noise issue. Carkit works fine for calls but when streaming music via Bluetooth I get the high pitched noise over the top of the music. Audio sounds fine for 10-20min then the high pitch noise comes over the top of the audio for 15-20sec the goes away, but will come back again. This happens if car is running or in acc. Shane
