Hello there,

report from Indonesia:

I've updated my N97 to 20.0.019 on the last day of October.

Seems everything going as expected.

OVI maps was not 3.1 version. It was 3.01.

I can't find Satelite Status in LOCATION.

Anyone missing the same?

Same story here +- 64MB free but after instal Python, Ovi Maps and Facebook went down to 45MB =/

 

Is there any chance to instal this soft in defrent mem?

 

Biggest prob with this mobile which i ahd is not enough Phonr Mem. Whan im keeping it around 40MB free phone works perfect.

 

 

What can i do to gain some extra MB?

Attempt to update my 2nd N97 from v12.0.026 to v20.0.096 as I did with my 1st N97...

NO UPDATE available...

I don't know why... NOKIA should have some explanation then..

@gdobox: Keep trying... we are in a queing system of NOKIA (maybe).

I’m almost posting every tread that has N97 title on it hoping NOKIA personnel would be reminded that there should also be a firm ware update for Philippines and neighboring countries.

UK Country Variants published

I am pleased to say that the Nokia N97 release 2.0 (version 20.0.019) has just been published for UK Country Variants.

 

Using your PC to update
Initially, this software update is only available through the Nokia Software Updater. Due to wealth of new content available in this release, the over-the-air "FOTA" packages are larger than normal (around 17MB) and to allow for sufficient testing, delivery will be slightly delayed.

Seriously.. It is always weeks for this unbranded handset to get its update compared to its black counterpart.. very very annoying.. Double late for buying an unbranded handset from a Nokia shop.. grrr..

 

That being said, I'll check when I get home.. maybe it'll be out some time today!!

big problem following the Firmware upgrade a few days agao (in Israel) Each time I connect with my N97 BT to my Parrot BT handsfree set in the car - the access to the contacts is BLOCKED!

 

 I only can turn off the BT to regain access to the contacts I have ( 2600 names)

 

Never had this problem before!

 

I hardreset my phone and now have free 31 MB on C but this issue with the BT still exsists!

 

 

Anyone ??

 

using Nokia since ages most recent were the 9300, N95 the E71, and since July 15 - a proud owner of the N97 - later switched to the N97 White

N97 white unlocked from Dell.com website.  Using AT&T network in US.

I was able to restory "user files from mass memory".  The WSOD happens whenever I attempt to restore "settings" in PC suite after the master reset.  So I had to restore everything else except settings, and just manually re-enter all my settings.

Hi,

I wanna know why doesn't Nokia allow all N97 owners to update at the same time? Why some ppl have to wait? this is absolutely unfair. Now i need to know when is my update gonna be available. product code : 0576567

A very frustrated Nokia customer :S

Pretty sure each region has to approve the software before it's released for them. Like Regenersis, or whatever they're called, has to approve the software in the UK for unbranded handsets before it's released to us.
