A new update for the Nokia 5310 has just been released. It is on version 9.42 from the recent 8.32.

Visit www.europe.nokia.com/softwareupdate or www.nokia.co.uk/A4226014 to update your Nokia phone software.

*Firmware versions may vary per country

Hi. I am in India and have 5310. I searched with Software Updater and it tells the latest firmware is 8.32. Can you tell me if i can and how to download the v9.42 firmware pls?

i m also from india. I successfully able to update to 9.42 arround 4 days ago.

as usual, i experiance lots of bugs in the new update.

1. as I already discussed in other topics ,the "invalid appliacation" prb when i try to install any appliacation.
( like gmail ).

2. setting-> enhancements-> headphone and headset option is missing. there is only "charger" option is there.

3. if u are typing sms and at that time, if u receive an sms( or mail) , the "new msg" popup is also coming which is very irritating.


I am not sure whether other people also having same prb but these are the prb i m facing after upding my software.

Note: the "invalid appliacation" prb was also in version 8. it wasnt there in version 7.

if u guys also having same probs or any other please do share. if not, pl help me out.

Haven't installed this new version yet. Did anyone notice (positive) changes, compared to 8.32?
 

My Nokia history: 5310 (Sep 2008), 5300 (Jan 2007), 6610 (June 2003), 3310 (2001)

Installed 9.42 yesterday...nothing seems obvious as to changes.
Picture-still takes ages, exif info still says "nokia 5678," all games still work, etc. No bugs in my day of experience.

ps. nothing wrong with the headset/charger selection in my settings menu.

fullscreen in musicplayer still bug.. it you pause or u got receive message it will become halfscreen..
