Where can we find text descriptions for the icons that appear under the battery symbol so we know what they all mean

Those are the "Display Indicators". They are explained in the manual.

Not in my user guide where I thought it should be. Makes no sense to give icons if there is no reference in the user guide to what they represent.

Page 37 under maps has a heading display indicators but this is not what I am referring to.

Are you referring to a different manual?

My manual is issue 2.1. Here is issue 4 http://nds1.nokia.com/phones/files/guides/Nokia_E63-1_UG_en.pdf

NOKIA: print on the manual which comes with the handset ... check the Nokia website for the most up to date manual !

EDIT: page 21

Hope this has helped everyone just like me ! ! ! !

Speaking of symbols I always had a 4 square wifi icon below the battery symbol until I went to Tools->Settings->Connection->Wireless Lan and Set 'Show WLAN Availability' to Never now the symbol is gone.   Will I get better battery life now?

Thanks for the reply,  it was set to every 10 mins so I guess it means it turns on every 10 mins and does a search then turns off,  instead of keeping the radio on

well yeah you will save some power having this on as you had its best to turn it off, also something you might want to bear in mind keep bluetooth off to as this has a big consumption of the battery

My E63 is showing the headset connected icon when there is no headset connected. Does anyone know how to get rid of this? Thanks.

sounds like an issue with the connectors....leave the battery out for 2-3MIN

if it still there...get to a nokia center to be asessed
